Class A/B LED Range
Class A and Class B LEDs refer to the new EU/UK energy-efficiency rating system for lighting, which was reset in 2021 to make the scale stricter and more future-proof. Under this system, LEDs that used to be labelled A+, A++ or A+++ are now often rated C, D or E, because the bar for top ratings has been raised dramatically. Only the very highest-performing LEDs qualify as Class A or B, and they are still rare on the market.
