There are 4 things were looking for when replacing conventional bulbs with LEDs: appearance, colour, beam angle and brightness - and its the last that causes most trouble.Well these bulbs look excellent and I'd happily recommend them for installations where they will be visible. The colour is natural i.e. the warm tone were used to from old-fashioned light bulbs. The beam angle is what it says - in other words an all-round light. the brightness does not disappoint. ive tried one in a 5-bulb fitting and it looks indistinguishable from the 40w bulbs beside it.I obviously can't comment on their longevity, but the current (no pun intended) performance is superb.
